LAND TRIBUNAL PRESIDENTS x 3 POSITIONS TENABLE AT GABORONE AND PALAPYE DIVISIONS. 1 YEAR (12 MONTHS) CONTRACT.
SALARY SCALE: E1 (P381, 816 – P397, 260 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.

• Scarce skill allowance at the rate 35% of Basic Salary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of Botswana or any recognized
University.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 10 years of practice as an Advocate or Attorney
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To adjudicate on appeals emanating from decisions of Land Boards and Planning Authorities.
DUTIES:
1. Hears and determine appeals and applications arising from decisions of Land Boards and Planning Authorities.
2. Prepares and deliver judicial determinations (Court orders, rulings and judgements) within set timelines.
3. Proof-read and signs record of case proceedings within set timelines.
4. Monitors compliance with court orders.
5. Monitor compliance to service standards (Timely completion of appeals)
6. Supervises subordinate officers and review their performance.
7. To perform any other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Permanent Secretary or the Honourable Minister in Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services.
