HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Job description
Administer compensation, benefits, leave days, performance management systems and safety programs.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and recommend needed changes.
Knowledge of best practices in Human Resource policies, procedures, process and strategies.
Perform complex staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes and dismissal of employees.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling enquiries, interpreting, administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
Oversee the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations/job positions.
Analyse statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
Plan, organize, direct or coordinate the personnel, training or labour relations activities of an organization.
Develop or administer projects in areas such as savings bond programs and employee awards.
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations.
Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Analyse and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Analyse training needs to design employee development, training and health & safety programs.
Study legislation and arbitration decisions contracts to assess industry trends.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or any other related qualification.
Work experience
At least 5 years experience in human resource management, in which 2 years was in a supervisory position.

Results oriented and performance driven.
Excellent writing, communication & negotiation skills
Advanced Computer skills(Ms Excel, Access & Outlook)
Understanding of the Botswana Employment & Labour law
