GEOTECH ENGINEER 

1.Job Summary 

To plan and undertake geotechnical data collection, modelling, slope monitoring and provide professional rock engineering services to Mining to achieve operational targets. 

1.1.Key Performance Areas 

• Slope Monitoring 
a Pit dewatering
• Blasting Optimisation
• Geotechnical and Geological Data Collection
• Geotechnical Modelling
a People Effectiveness
• Process Improvement
• Safety Health, Environment and Quality
• Cost Effectiveness

1.2.Qualification and Experience

•A minimum of 0’ level plus BSc Geology/BEng Mining, Post Graduate in Rock Mechanics/Geotech or an equivalent.
•Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in Geology/Mining/Geotech field of which 2 years should have been at Geotech Engineer and hands on experience in the Mining.
•Open pit mining experience will be an added advantage. Possession of a valid light vehicle driver’s is essential.
