HIV PREVENTION AND CARE OFFICER
tenable in Dukwi Refugee Camp
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan and lead HIV care, support and prevention activities for people living with HIV in Dukwi Refugee Camp
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
*Design , and facilitate HIV training programs, staff and volunteers aimed at improving their HIV/AIDS awareness.
*Facilitate the statement of information , education and communication materials on HIV and AIDS in refugee friendly languages or illustrations.
*Coordinate home based care activities (including care for elderly)
*Supervise a team of volunteers (HBC and Community Mobilisers volunteers)
*Produce monthly & quarterly reports of HIV related activities undertaken with refugees
*Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, and assist in case of emergencies as prescribed by the BRCS Disaster Policy

*Knowledge in HIV/AIDS issues
*Diplomacy and assertiveness, the ability to confront and discuss sensitive issues with respect and care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Social work / Community Development or related field
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
3 years previous experience prevention in HIV/AIDS programming especially in multi cultural setting
SALARY : Commensurate with qualifications and experience
LEAVE: 25 working days per annum
