Applications are invited from suitably qualified Batswana for the above mentioned position in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture, tenable in Gaborone.
Salary Scale: D4 (P165, 300 – P182, 496) per annum
Leave: 30 working days per annum

Qualifications:
Degree in Public Administration/ Human Resource Management or any related field.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) years relevant post qualification experience, two (2) of which should have been served at C1 level or equivalent level in a parastatal or private sector organization.

Main purpose of the job:
To interpret, implement, coordinate and evaluate training and development policy in order to meet the manpower development needs of the Ministry.
Key Performance Areas:
1. Provides guidance and support on the administration and implementation of the training policy and programmes for the various disciplines in the Ministry/Department.
2. Identifies staff performance gaps and facilitate the development of a sound training plan to address/close gaps.
3. Prepare training and development budget.
4. Implement and monitor the training and development budget.
5. Develops monitoring and evaluation plan for trained.
6. Periodically reviews the effectiveness and relevance of training policies and practices and recommends changes to Management.
7. Coordinates and monitors the implementation of training plan for the Ministry/Department.
8. Maintains up-to-date training records for all staff trained in the Ministry/Department and develops skills inventory
9. Coordinates Training Board sessions and actively participates in audit inspections.
10. Liaise with DPSM on all matters related to training
11. Develop induction modules and conduct orientations for newly recruited officers.
