TEACHING ASSISTANTS (8 Positions)

VACANCY NO. FSS/ E 1/ 2014

1.1 Duties: 
Successful candidates will assist the course Lecturer of Undergraduate level in their tutorial work. Each teaching assistant will be required to work 8 hours per week. Hours can be negotiated to be during out of office hours. The selected candidates will be under the supervision of the Departmental tutorial coordinator, course instructor and Head of Department with the aim to achieve the Department’s teaching requirements.

1.2 Requirements:
Applicants should have:
(i) a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or combined Major Economics, with at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6;
(ii) previous teaching experience, strong quantitative background and/ or Masters’ Degree in Economics shall be added advantages. Preference will be given to current Graduate Economics students.

1.3 Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
