Field Service Area Manager

The role:

To manage the service of construction and mining equipment and maintenance contracts, through:

Planning, organising, controlling, scheduling, administration, budgeting, financial analysis, negotiating, customer service, reporting (formal), feedback, personnel development, implementation of management measures.

Characteristics:

Resilient, detailed, structured, pro-active, disciplined, conscientious, quality focussed, innovative in terms of customer service, compliant in terms of policy and procedures.

Experience:

• Mining Industry Underground operations preferable
• Maintenance environment line management preferable
• Customer service activities preferable
• Experience in developing cost estimates and quotations and scoping of work accurately

• Customer satisfaction (time, cost, quality)
• Generating and Maximising turnover
• Minimising direct unit costs
• Profit generation at suitable margin
• Utilisation planning of billable resources
• Staff development and succession planning
• Effective operations & resource availability
• Cost Effectiveness
• Customer Relations
• Effective subordinates

This service is rendered to Sandvik Mining internal and external clients, on and off site according to field service, maintenance contract and customer’s requirements.

Your Profile:

• Grade 12/High School Diploma
• Certificate of Competence in Project Management
• Certificate of Competence in Basic Financial Principles
• 5 Years Technical trade experience
• Years Management/Supervisory experience
• Computer Literacy
• English proficiency
• Driver's Licence
• Physical & Medical ability to function in an underground mining environment

Rustenburg Branch
