VACANCY: CHIEF ADMINISTRATION OFFICER 1 - TRANSPORT
VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 38 OF 2016
SALARY: D3 (P201, 516 – P222, 468) per annum.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the Ministry of Health, Corporate Services, tenable at Ministry Headquarters.
BENEFITS:

LEAVE:

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’sDegree in Transport / Fleet Management, Business Administration, Economics, Automotive Engineering, Statistics or Transport Economics and Management.
EXPERIENCE:
At least eight (8) years’ work experience in related field of which two (2) years should have been served at D4 level in Government or its equivalent in the Parastatal or Private Sector. Preference will be given to applicants with qualification in transport management.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To coordinate and manage transport activities in the Ministry.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1. Reviews utilization of MOH vehicles and facilitate their redeployment and drafts the distribution of new vehicles.
2. Conducts annual MOH transport assessment and produce a report.
3. Plans and organizes transport required for any major event in the Ministry.
4. Identifies training needs of the MOH transport staff, organizes and coordinates their training and development
5. Vets all project memorandums for fleet expansion being sent to the Transport Establish Review Committee
6. Prepare MOH transport budget (Fleet replacement/Maintenance, fuel)
7. Plans and organizes fleet audits to curb misuse and corruption in transport.
