First National Bank of Botswana invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below in our Bank.

Business Development Manager

The successful incumbent will be responsible for facilitating and supporting business development initiatives to grow FNB Business’s transactional banking by developing and monitoring the roll-out of strategy and business plans. The incumbant will also be responsible for building and enhancing relationships with customers and ensure targets set by the segment are met or exceeded.

Requirements

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing Business Segment sales strategy to increase the segment’s client base.
• Identify appropriate industry forums and opportunities to leverage own personal business network.
• Stay abreast with developments and changes in the market by identifying business opportunities in the market that align to business segment strategy.
• Enhance awareness of existing and new products and services within the FNB Business Segment.
• Conduct local and international research on banking developments, e.g. competitor analysis, sector research etc.
• Contribute to a culture of customer service excellence, which builds positive relationships & provides opportunity for feedback & exceptional service.
• Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with Business Segments and Brands in order to achieve productivity synergies.
• Managing risk and ensuring adherence to compliance processes.

Experience, skills and qualifications required for this role are as follows:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Commerce
• Knowledgeable on different products and services provided by the different segments and brands in the banking system
• 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

Proven competencies and skills:

• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter and results orientated
