OPERATIONS DIRECTOR - DULUX BOTSWANA

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Operations Director reports directly to Dulux Africa Executive and the key roles include

• To lead, manage and control the Botswana operation in terms of Board agreed strategic direction and plans.
• To lead and control the Botswana operation in terms of the targets agreed upon by the Board and Dulux Africa Executive.
• The Executive will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all the aspects of the core business including product manufacturing, supply chain management, safety and health.
• To manage and coordinate the various functional areas in the Botswana operation to achieve acceptable business performance and the sustained viability of the business.
• During this appointment the Executive will be responsible for providing leadership in relation to business marketing/sales strategy and plans, as well as co-ordinating and implementing the business marketing strategies and activities.
• The Operations Director should also maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels of the company. In addition, the Operations Director is expected to foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and fulfills social responsibility objectives and imperatives.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Chemistry/Engineering/equivalent.
• Master’s in Business Administration Degree/equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 10 years’ experience gained in operations of a paint manufacturing environment/FMCG environment/manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Senior Management Level.
