LEAVE: 20 working days per annum.
QUALIFICATIONS: Standard Seven (PSLE), good command of English and Setswana, All license categories (Class “E”) driver’s license, be skilled in Map reading and good knowledge of the physical geography of Botswana.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years as Driver II, B4

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: - To transport Judges to and from work, circuit court and unscheduled trips/always on call.
• Transports foreign Judges e.g. Judges of the Court of Appeal and other very important Dignitaries
• Transports Judge’s children to and from school, transports Judges to parties, weddings, funerals, pays utilities and make bank transactions
• Chooses appropriate routes bearing in mind the security of the Judge in both normal driving situations and in times of emergency
• Loads and offloads Judge’s luggage and ensure their security and safety
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance, which may include removal and fitment of tyres, ensuring that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure for the load and conditions.
• Preforms pre-trip inspection and ensures that the vehicle assigned is road worthy before commencing any journey
• Records such trips in the log book and obtains Executive Court Reporter’s authorization
• Drives vehicles displaying a standard of professionalism in map reading, diagnosing common faults in primary systems of the assigned vehicles and in performing minor emergency repairs.
• Reports to the Transport Officer any faults detected during trips on the vehicle and the same to the workshop with all the necessary documents for repair
• Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
