PART-TIME TUTORS– DISTANCE EDUCATION

The University of Botswana is offering four Degree programmes by Distance Education mode: Bachelor of Accounting; Bachelor of Finance; Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing); Bachelor of Business Administration (Management). The University of Botswana invites applications for qualified persons to take up part time tutoring in the above programmes.

Duties:  To participate in tutoring students of the above distance learning programmes in any of the following areas, for the academic year 2015/16.

Communication & Study Skills 
Computing & Information Skills, 
Business Statistics 
Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences
Psychology 
Marketing 
Management 
Accounting 
Economics 
Law 
Critical Thinking 
Finance 
Politics of Gender

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least a Masters’ Degree (or professional qualification) in relevant area of specialization. (ii) a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area of specialization with at least a second class, first division (2.1) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD, teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages. .  Preference will be given to people who have experience in tutoring distance learners. Candidates will be expected to undergo orientation workshop.

Remuneration: The University offers a competitive hourly rate for Part-time services.
