TITLE/POSITION: DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL OPERATIONS
Main Purpose of the Role
The overall objective is to efficiently support Executive Management and to underpin the operational and commercial performance of the University. As part of the decision-making team, the role provides direct support to Executive Management and the Board. Based in Gaborone, the Director, Financial Operations will be primarily expected to lead the finance team and ensure that it performs all its core functions efficiently.

Reporting to: Vice President, Business Development & Corporate Services
Direct Reports: [Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Team Leaders (AP & AR), Ledger Reconciliation Clerks etc.
Scope: Accounting Control, Finance, Tax & Compliance, Management Reporting, financial forecasting and budgeting, Business Analytics, Administrative Support to Executive Management/ Board Members and other Delegated Functions.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
Applicants will need to fulfill the following criteria:
- Qualified Professional ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent
- Must be registered with the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within Finance/ Accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience as Finance Director/ Controller/Manager
- Experienced in Tax, Audit and Shareholder issues
- Educational sector experience, will be an advantage

Employment Contract Structure: The role has an interim/probation period of six (6) months subject to specific targets and

Upon successful completion of interim term, the successful candidate, having proven himself/herself should be in a position to enjoy a highly rewarding long-term career with BA ISAGO via a long-term 5-year renewable contract, limited only by the candidate’s own capabilities and commercial circumstances permitting.
