1.NETWORK FIELD OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (4 Positions)

1.1.Job Description 

Job duties include telephone/ticket based support and troubleshooting with customers, TCP/IP Network Management, maintenance of existing Wireless Networking Facilities, implementing new customer installations, provision of wireless, hardware and customer routers, On-call and after hours rotation and weekend maintenance responsibilities are a requirement.

1.2.Skills

•Working technical knowledge of infrastructure technologies , including networking, server support and PC hardware and software.
•Systems servers experience for DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SIP SNMP, AAA. Windows Server.
•Router/Switch experience (CISCO, Juniper, Mikrotik, Layer2/Layer3, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS etc)
•Strong understanding of monitoring concepts and management tools
•Able to collate and interpret data from various sources
•Strong critical thinking skill sin problem resolution and event management
•Ability to assess faults, prioritize, respond and troubleshoot.
•Cable of multi tasking, good time management and task prioritization
•Ability to understand the overall impacts of issues for escalation process
•Ability to perform wireless equipment installations on rooftops, towers, poles etc
•Good written/oral and inter-personal communication skills.

1.3.Qualifications

•Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
•Professional level Network Certification or equivalent work experience
•Valid Class B drivers license
•Any equivalent combination of education and experience

1.4.Experience

•A minimum of 2-3 years relevant post qualification experience
•Demonstrated ability to program and test microwave radios, routers and equipment
•Demonstrated skills and ability to perform cabling projects as needed
•Background in Technical Support desired
•ISP experience desired is advantageous
