A Southern African Mining company with operations in Botswana is looking to employ a Superintendent in Metallurgical Training
Job Description
- Reporting to the Training Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Achieving and maintaining high Safety, Health and Environment standards
- Organising, scheduling, designing, implementing and managing all metallurgical training initiatives
- Identifying training gaps through training needs analysis
- Coordinating and managing all metallurgical training functions
- Designing/implementing and supervising development programs
- Providing shop floor level with the service and tools to optimally produce quality outputs and work
- Ensure annual labour budgets are drawn up realistically and are controlled efficiently
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgy
- Training & Management Diploma
- 6 years experience in a metal production operation
- Sound knowledge of mine standards, and mines quarries and machinery act
- Good understanding of training and development methodologies
