CONSULTING TEAM - PROJECT MANAGER - DELOITTE

Deloitte is looking for a Consulting Team - Project Manager to fill the vacant post in their Botswana Office.

About the job

Responsible for the execution of one or more simultaneous projects in accordance with Deloitte standards and international project management standards the candidate will:

• Oversee and responsible for the implementation of multiple projects,
• Detailed project definition, management, planning and control of projects including:
• Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan;
• Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan and client expectations;
• Assisting with the production of client deliverables / documentation;
• Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary;
• Managing project scope, change control and resolving cross-functional issues at project level;
• Organising, guiding project operations throughout the course of the project;
• Providing regular status reports and updates to project teams and internal management; and
• Works with client departments to coordinate deliverables and content integration,
• Participate in the development of proposals including definition of scope of work and ensuring project teams have a clear understanding of the project scope, and
• Build, lead and direct project resources to meet project objectives.

About You

Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant commercial experience, a PRINCE2 Practitioner, Balanced Scorecard Certification or similar professional qualification.

• Proven experience in full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery,
• Strong leadership and delegation skills,
• Attention to detail,
• The ability to contribute to business development, through support bids for new business,
• Excellent written, oral, facilitation and presentation skills,
• Excellent organizational skills,
• Experience in employing change management best practices and disciplines,
• Proven ability to effectively work within teams at all levels,
• Ability to think critically and quickly solve problems,
• Good understanding of software packages in use by Project Managers,
• Good understanding of planning and budgeting processes and methodology,
• You must possess a solid knowledge base in business, organisational theory and practice, strategic and tactical organisational design, change management and business process design demonstrated in successful, recent projects,
• Experience of delivering workstreams or projects, and supporting change in a consulting or in–house environment,
• Experience of managing client relationships and junior staff, and
• Ability to travel.
