RISK AND COMPLIANCE
COMPLIANCE AND LEGAL OFFICER
Responsible for providing specialist assistance to line management and business units with regards the management of compliance risk attached to specified categories of regulatory requirements, the compliance risk management framework and also to implement and maintain specified compliance policies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Degree in Law from a recognised university.
- Qualification in risk management is an added advantage
- 5 (five) years work experience 3 (three) years of which should have been in compliance risk management and/or in the financial services industry, and exposure to managerial position.
- Ability to interpret and apply banking/ financial legislation and regulations and other regulatory requirements
- A general knowledge and understanding of banking processes and procedures.
- Computer literacy (knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Assertiveness and the ability to make independent decisions
- Excellent research skills
