The Transparency International European Union Liaison Office (TI-EU) is an international non-profit organisation under Belgian law (AISBL) based in Brussels (Belgium). We work closely with Transparency International national chapters in over 100 countries worldwide and the International Secretariat (TI-S) based in Berlin.
As part of the global Transparency International movement, TI-EU coordinates Transparency International’s advocacy toward the EU institutions. The mission of TI-EU is to prevent corruption and promote integrity, transparency and accountability in EU institutions, policies and legislation. This will in turn enhance efforts at the national level to fight corruption and promote equality and access to justice for citizens.
TI-EU is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to coordinate the Office’s outreach to EU policy-makers and the wider public, to manage the Office’s relationship with existing donors, and to help support and grow the office by developing new funding relationships. The ideal candidate will have a track-record of successful fundraising in the non-profit or private sector, experience of event management and devising and implementing a communications strategy.

Overall Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for communications and outreach that will support the Office’s advocacy aims, to manage relationships with existing and potential donors, to raise funds for the TI-EU Office as well as to facilitate fundraising for the TI movement overall.
1. Key responsibilities:
A) Communications
- Develop and implement social media campaigns;
- Liaise with Brussels-based media;
- Liaise with communications officers in the wider TI network;
- Organise public events, seminars and workshops;
- Oversee production of publicity material, brochures, newsletters;
- Draft presentations, speeches, blogs and opinion pieces.
B) Resource Development
- Monitor and analyse fundraising opportunities;
- Proactively manage relationships with existing and potential donors;
- Coordinate drafting and submission of fundraising applications;
- Support fundraising of the movement from EU sources;
- Manage donor database and coordinate donor reporting;
- Keep track of TI EU outreach activities and impact.
2. Knowledge, experience and skills:
- A university degree, preferably in a relevant field;
- 2-5 years of experience in Fundraising, Communications, EU Affairs, PR or Journalism;
- A track-record of delivering high-quality and successful public events;
- A track-record of successful fundraising;
- IT proficiency, especially with social media and design applications;
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills essential;
- Fluency in English required; fluency in French and other EU languages an asset;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and maintain a professional approach;
- Entrepreneurial, creative and opportunity-driven mind-set;
- A commitment to the values and goals of Transparency International.
