The Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) invites applications from highly motivated and well experienced citizens of Botswana to fill the vacant post of Senior Researcher, which exists at Botswana Public Service College (BPSC).
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
BENEFITS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences. A Master’s Degree in Social Sciences will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
At least Ten (10) years’ experience in the field of Research, two (2) years of which must have been served as Researcher at D3 salary scale in Government or equivalent / comparative level in Parastatal or Private organization.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To research on new approaches and best practice in management tools and techniques to support government reforms agenda.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Identify and build strategic partnerships and alliances.
• Support government reforms and transformation initiatives through the provision of professional advisory services.
• Facilitate information sharing between Public Sector institutions.
• Research and develop facilitation methods.
• Conduct research initiatives that support the research and development agenda of the Botswana Public Service College.
• Provide knowledge and advisory support to the college on best practice of facilitation methods.
• Design tools/methodology for analysis of programme effectiveness.
• Design, develop and recommend new approaches, structures and systems for improved Public Service Management.
• Analyse data, prepare reports, present findings and facilitate knowledge repository and accessibility.
• Assess personal knowledge, skills against job specific competencies to identify development needs and priorities.
• Research to enhance knowledge and attend training, workshops and seminars.
• Mentor and supervise supervisees.
• Identify supervisee’s competency gaps and determine relevant development programs.
• Undertake any other related duties to as may be assigned by management .
