SALARY: D4 (P165, 300 – P182, 496) per annum.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the Ministry of Health, Department of Clinical Services, tenable at Princess Marina Hospital and Central Medical Stores.
BENEFITS:

LEAVE:

QUALIFICATION:
Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration/Chartered institute of Purchase/Supply /Materials Management DMAT and Supply level 6 or any other related field.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience in Purchasing, Supply and Materials Management two (2) years of which should have been served at C1 level in the Government or its equivalent in the Parastatal or Private Sector.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To undertake procurement activities such as purchasing of goods and services; contracting and material handling.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Advises Ministries on stock range of different quantities of supplies to ensure that adequate stocks are held to meet the demand.
• Reviews and analyses client requirements, liaises with client to determine best procurement strategy to meet the needs of the requirements.
• Conducts market research to ensure that advertised specifications are aligned to the new product developments.
• Compiles data contained in quotations/proposals/bids to facilitate the determination of the best supplier in terms of quality, delivery time, discounts and transportation costs among others.
• Identifies potential suppliers based on the requirements provided by the client.
• Procures bulk supplies to ensure compliance with local procurement programme.
• Prepares and distributes tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Reviews vendor invoices; determines accuracy of charges and funding availability; summarises and allocates costs prior to management approval and processes suppliers’ invoices for payment.
