We have an exceptional opportunity for two Research Officers to work within our International Trade Policy Section, which undertakes policy-oriented research and analysis on international trade and related development issues with the objective of helping member countries achieve effective policy mechanism for integration into and effective participation in the global trading system.
The successful candidates will be required to review major trends in global and regional trade, undertake data analysis, and prepare appropriate analytical papers containing relevant advice and recommendations for member governments.
You will need to keep abreast of trade performance of Commonwealth Members, assist in the conceptualisation of major policy analysis projects, contribute to the preparation of reports, and coordinate and assist in preparations for and servicing of meetings, workshops and seminars organised by the Economic Policy Division.
The positions are offered as 3 year fixed-term contracts.

So if you have a Post-Graduate degree in Economics or International Trade, at least three years’ experience in the areas of trade policy analysis, familiarity with major trade databases as available from secondary sources, and familiarity with the functioning of the global trading system and regional trading arrangements, please apply.
