Org. Setting and Reporting

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-HABITAT, is the agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. This post is located in the Regional Office for Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in GOMA. The incumbent will report directly to the Chief and Technical Advisor (CTA) responsible for the programme in DRC.

Education

Advanced University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, development planning, evaluation, survey implementation, advanced statistical research or similar discipline. A first level university degree with a combination of two years professional and academic qualifications may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Work Experience

At least 5 years of professional experience in designing and implementing M&E framework, data collection and management, and reporting of humanitarian and/or development programs and projects. A first university degree with a combination of two years professional and academic qualifications may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post fluency in oral and written English is required. A good working knowledge of French is desirable.
