Claims Negotiator

JOB PURPOSE

To provide a quality claims service, ensure containment of claims spend and provide excellent service in setting a culture of best practice within mandated responsibility

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• End to end negotiation and settlement of insured recovery claim – pre litigation through claims assessment, payments, processing insured Recovery claims in order to secure a successful recovery
• Continuously improve claims service, manage claims spend and contain the increase in average cost of claims.
• Reduce / maintain Claims service effectively
• Ensure effective implementation and compliance of claims / operational systems or procedures
• Ensure diary is maintained.
• Ensure estimates are raised accurately and timeously in accordance with best practice and that new documents are actioned

REQUIREMENTS

• COP in short term insurance
• 2 – 3 years claims experience
• Computer literacy
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic analytical aptitude
