We are looking for an experienced and energetic individual to join our HR department, reporting to the Managing Director. The person we seek must show excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be able to multi-task and enjoy maintaining good relationships with employees. A committed demeanor to constantly make improvements to our HR department is highly desirable.
HR departments are expected to add value to the organisation they support, including:
- working closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
- Developing and management of Talent Management Strategy
- promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
- recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates;
- developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
- dealing with grievances and compensation management and a good understanding of the Botswana Labour Laws and conditions of service
- developing with line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements
Minimum Education/Qualifications:
• Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology
• Membership of an HR professional organisation/association desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Management
