1. Risk Management
• To facilitate the risk management process in the department • To manage IT Risk and security controls effectively so as to ensure Data integrity, Data availability, confidentiality, consistency of SCB databases and transaction processing systems are secured against unauthorized use or access. 2. IT Security Management • To manage the development of procedures and controls for detecting, reporting and investigating breaches in IT security. • To manage the physical access control function to security areas within IT (Server rooms and BCP/Disaster Recovery areas). • To perform periodic compliance/ health check reviews across all the IT functions in Botswwna, Consumer Banking, Finance and Client Relationship Systems. • To create senior management awareness on status of data security, physical security and confidentiality matters, including breaches in these areas. • To provide technical advice to all Service Delivery functions on matters concerning logical and physical security. • To promote an awareness of I.T. security at all levels throughout the region by utilizing all the communication channels available. 3. Disaster Recovery Management • Responsible for the Disaster Recovery management process in the department • To ensure disaster recovery plans for critical systems are in place and are tested regularly with all exception cases resolved timely. • Responsible for technically driving the aspects of the local DR / BCP support, security support and production systems support. 4. IT Controls To facilitate the adoption of best practice in IT controls To manage and monitor the closing of audit findings until closure 5. Project Management To facilitate the adoption of a project management framework within IT To provide project role to all IT project managers To monitor the execution of all IT projects via a scorecard 6. IT Strategy monitoring • Promote and review compliance of IT activities with the Group’s IT strategy, Principles and Policies at all units | |
