Social and Behaviour Change Communication Specialist - (SBCC- VMMC) (1 position tenable at the ACHAP Head Office, Gaborone)
Job purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide technical guidance in the design, implementation and evaluation of evidence informed strategic behaviour change communication interventions supported by ACHAP at national and project area level. The SBCC Specialist will be a senior member of the project team and work with district and local NGO partners, Ministry of Health, community-based organizations (CBOs), CDC-Botswana and other stakeholders to achieve the implementation of a robust VMMC communication program encompassing combination prevention of HIV/AIDS. The SBCC Specialist provides guidance to ensure that the VMMC program implementation adheres to appropriate technical standards and guidelines and that programs are technically sound. He/she will provide global scientific leadership by staying current of evolving technical standards, guidelines, and program developments in his/her area of expertise.
