Job Description:	DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER - VERTEBRATE ZOOLOGY AND ECOLOGY- RE-ADVERTISEMENT MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students especially in the Vertebrate Zoology and Ecology areas, and to build the knowledge base in a relevant field of the discipline through research and publication. To administer teaching activities within the discipline and provide leadership at the module or course level. To establish a national research reputation in their discipline. To be active in professional service related to their discipline. DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICAL SCIENCES LECTURER: MATHEMATICS MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students in Mathematics and to build the knowledge base in topology through research and publication. To administer teaching activities within the discipline and carry out research in the subject area especially in Topology. To supervise research projects in Mathematics and render service to the profession. DEPARTMENT OF EARTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES LECTURER: ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate student in Environmental Sciences and to build a knowledge base in the field of Environmental Sciences through research and publication. To teach courses in Environmental Hydrology, Hydrological Modeling, Water Resources Management and Human-Environment Interactions. .Establish themselves in the research area and be engaged intensively in research groups
Preferred Skills:	DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE SENIOR LECTURER •    Doctorate Degree in the relevant discipline or approved equivalent qualification. •    At least two years post graduate experience in teaching and research at a tertiary institution of comparable standard. However two years post-doctoral relevant relevant/professional experience shall be equivalent to one year teaching experience. •    Should have at least 8 publications in reputable refereed journals. LECTURER •    Doctorate Degree in a relevant discipline or approved equivalent qualification. Teaching experience, Research and publications will be considered as added advantages. SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER - VERTEBRATE ZOOLOGY AND ECOLOGY- RE-ADVERTISEMENT DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICAL SCIENCES LECTURER: MATHEMATICS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  •    Doctorate Degree in Mathematics specializing in Topology and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics or approved equivalent qualification. •    Teaching experience,  and research publications will be considered as added advantages. DEPARTMENT OF EARTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES LECTURER: ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  •    Doctoral Degree in Environmental Sciences (preferable Water Resources Science) or a related discipline •    Be able to communicate complex ideas and should be familiar with student centered learning. •    Be able to teach courses in the following areas, Environmental Hydrology, Hydrological Modeling, Water Resources Management and Human-Environment Interactions •    Teaching experience, Supervision of undergraduate and Master of Science students, Research and publications will be considered as added advantages.
