Commercial Manager

Job Summary:
The Commercial Manager is a key player in the Executive Management team, ensuring information drives decision-making, insight and systems thinking across the business by embedding commercial mind-set, systems and processes into the business. The Commercial Manager is responsible for business optimisation and systemisation through analytical methods, including business, process modelling and forecasting. This executive position is also responsible for carrying out research into and analysis of the diamond industry and for developing and maintaining the company’s business intelligence models.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• A degree in Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent qualification.
• 10 to 15 years’ business and financial modelling experience, with well-developed analytical and commercial skills.
• Substantive experience operating at a senior management level.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of data for forecasting and research with knowledge of predictive modelling techniques and use of analytic tools.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of business optimisation processes, systems and planning in a data analytical environment in the minerals sector.
• A profound knowledge and experience working with multiple business models and carrying out financial modelling, risk analysis and strategic business planning.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of data management systems that facilitate development of models for valuations and pricing of diamonds and enhanced business processes and systems. Knowledge of information and communications technologies.
