SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Our Client is a multi-disciplined company specialising in customised construction contracting in structural steel, mechanical, plate work, and piping, The Company has been awarded a contract for the Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Plate Work (SMPP) for the Letlhakane Mine Tailings Resource Treatment Plant. The Company is currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced applicants to following position:

Senior Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector (2)

Job Summary
To perform the required quality inspections ensuring compliance with specifications and QA system requirements thereby contributing to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
A minimum of 2 years Inspector in a specialist technical field especially Coded Welding, plus 10 years’ experience in projects related to an SMMP environment. SAIW Welding and Fabrication Inspection Level Two will be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include preparation for vendor inspections by identifying the type of inspection to be performed and obtaining relevant documentation/specifications. Perform the inspection or witness testing. Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of fabricated products. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of material using the appropriate measuring equipment and verify material specifications against MCL and material data sheets. Perform visual and paint/galvanised inspections of manufactured products at vendors using appropriate instruments.
