QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Engineering Environmental/Chemical/Water and Waste Water Engineering or Bachelor of Science (Environmental/Chemistry and Biology)
EXPERIENCE: Six (6) years relevant experience in the field of Environmental/Chemical/ Water and waste water engineering or chemistry and Biology, two (2) years of which should have been served at D4 level
BENEFITS:
(i) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme(Government pays 50% and employee 50%.
(ii) Contributory Pension Fund (Government Pays 15% and employee 5%)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To develop, administer and monitor programmes and statutes on pollution prevention and control
DUTIES
1) Coordinates air water and soil pollution management activities in the region
2) Advises on licensing of pollution sources
3) Conducts environmental research
4) Reviews environmental impact assessment reports
5) Develops protocol for emergency response system
6) Coordinates audit and inspection on waste water generating operation in the region.
