1.GRADUATE SURVEYOR
1.1.Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, the Graduate Surveyor should hold a Diploma or Degree in Surveying. The requirements for the position are as follows:
•Arranging equipment during the planning and organizing of survey expeditions
•Carry, assemble, dismantle and maintain surveying equipment, including digital equipment that uses satellites (GPS)
•Assist in the Mine Surveyor in measuring angles, distances and elevations using various methods including tape or steel band and with GPS equipment.
•Setting up and maintenance of survey control systems for use by mining operations
•Setting out mining control lines and benchmarks according to put designs
•Pit and stockpile volumetric surveys and computations
•Other duties prescribed as necessary by the Mine Surveyor in running the Survey function.
Successful candidates should have an excellent technical knowledge and ability to communicate with others and "team oriented" approach to the achievement of tasks
