Sales Area Business Controller & Country Finance Manager

The role:

The role of the Sales Area Business Controller & Country Finance Manager is responsible for providing counsel and support to Sales Area Manager. The role is responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and conduct continuous follow-up of performance and risk analysis. The SABC & Finance Manager is also responsible to follow-up the application and adherence of the Sandvik, Sandvik Mining and Global Sales policies and procedure.

YourProfile:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, professional designation preferred
5 – 8 years of accounting experience
Exposure to the mining, construction or engineering industries
Strategic planning and operations experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Growth and Development

Participates in planning processes.
Provides management with financial advice, support and ad hoc reports as requested.
Support management in business activities and decision making in financial issues – business cases, projects, acquisitions, investments, divestments

Operational

Reviews and analyses operating results in relation to cost, budgets and operating policies and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement with specific attention to variances.
Ensures the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information.
Drives the budget, forecasting, business planning and follow up processes for the Sales Area
Conduct and communicate financial analysis and reporting with relevant stakeholders to increase awareness leading to relevant actions and comments (monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
Customer proposals, negotiations and contracts (must be part of the team from the beginning)

Financial

Monitors and controls expenses within the Sales Area
To coordinate the cashflow requirements with the Country Finance Manager
Credit management in coordination with the corporate Finance department.
