VACANCY CIRCULAR NO.1 OF 2015
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates employed with Local Authorities for the below mentioned post tenable in Southern District Council.
SENIOR ARCHITECT –D4
Salary: D4 (P165 300 – P182 496) per annum
Leave: 30 working days per annum
Qualifications: Degree in Architecture.
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience two of which must have been served at C1 level as Architect I
Benefits: Optional Medical Aid Scheme (Govt pays 50%, employee 50%)
Contributory Pension Fund (Govt pays 15%, employee 5% of basic salary)
Scarce Skill Allowance in accordance with Directive on Attraction and Retention Policy

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To produce the designs of Building projects
DUTIES:
1. Preparation of detailed design and working drawings for building projects.
2. Collecting client’s brief and preparing terms of reference for architectural consultancy services
3. .Monitoring progress of building projects and advising on Architectural design changes.
4. Inspection of building projects to ensure compliance with Building Control Act.
5. Checking and approving details and service drawings for building projects prepared by subordinates
6. Interpreting and analyzing data required for planning, design and construction of buildings.
7. Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management
