LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Land Use Planning/Land Management/Environmental Science or related fields
EXPERIENCE: At least 4 years relevant work experience, 2years of which has been served as Lands Officer I - C1.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan and coordinate the preparation of District land use plans, village development plans and detailed layout plans.
DUTIES
1. Advises applicants and developers by interpreting physical planning legislations, local policies, guidelines and standards to make informed decisions.
2. Coordinates and supervises the preparation of village development plans and detailed layout plans to ensure that plans are prepared within time and budget and meet set objectives.
3. Provides professional advice to Management, Land Board and stakeholders on all physical planning and development activities.
4. Prepares draft layout plans for proposed development areas
5. Verifies draft village development plans for consultation with Stakeholders
6. Reviews plans for sub division, plot consolidation, extension and change of use to establish compliance with regulations and standards
7. Prepares finance and manpower budget estimates for the division
8. Supervises, reviews and guides performance and development of the supervisees.
9. Develops appropriate data collection techniques to be used for research purposes
10. Acts as secretary for District Land Use Planning Unit.
11. Attends meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops relevant to country physical planning
12. Coordinates the physical planning research and compiles data on land for the Land Boards.
13. Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
