About Your Job:
In this role you will ensure optimal use of cargo capacity on QR flights through efficient cargo planning and monitoring of bookings and allocate space to maximise space on every flight. You will manage reservations and bookings via the QR handling process based on available capacity, balancing network, yield and regularity of traffic. You will also be responsible for the supervision of cargo operations including GHA supervision.
You will be responsible to effectively maintain accounts and key customers and plan sales calls, submit sales reports, as required. You will also service the needs of key customers and global corporate accounts and submit weekly sales calls plan and weekly sales reports. You will be responsible to update the trade and corporate houses about QR products and services through presentations and emails. Plan the cargo load based on commodity, density, revenue, M3. ULD and customers. You will set allotments in the system for outstations after evaluation. You will coordinate with airport cargo operations and outstations for shipments requiring special handling / attention to ensure smooth movement of cargo, monitor cargo movements whenever special handling is required.
You will regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plan procedures and practices and make appropriate changes if needed. You will also be responsible to oversee and supervise employees, direct daily sales activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
About You:
You must have a bachelors degree or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of work experience in the airfrieght industry, of which 3 are required in cargo sales and services and marketing . You will have a good command of the English language. Basic Rating and DGR, LAR, knowledge of cargo reservation and tracking systems experience is also required as well as an understanding of IATA/TACT regulations and their impact on sales.
You will be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel Power Point and Access). Experience in managing databases in Oracle would be an added advantage. Overll you should have good communication with good Customer service and Negotiation skills.
