A new fashion company from the UK, plans to set up operations in Botswana and are looking for the following qualified applicants to fill in the following positions.

VACANCY NAME: FASHION DESIGNER 

DUTIES
• creating/visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD);
• keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes;
• be able to working with others in the design team,
• liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points;
• understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs;
• selecting fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments;
• adapting existing designs for mass production;
• developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the making up of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations;
• overseeing production
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA/BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN FASHION/RELATED COURSES

VACANCY NAME: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

DUTIES
• Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing softwares
• Exceptional creativity and innovation presenting finalized ideas
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
• working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD) and be able to develop interactive designs
• contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
• demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
• keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash;
• Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA/BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN GRAPHIC DESIGNS/RELATED COURSES

VACANCY NAME: SALES MARKETING

DUTIES
• Design and develop sales creative
• Respond to marketing inquiries on a timely basis
• Assist with the coordination of tradeshows and internal events.
• Help to gather market data and competitive information
• Collate and replenish sales materials when required
• Perform administrative duties as required by the company
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA/BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN GRAPHIC DESIGNS/RELATED COURSES
• +1-2 years experience in a similar role
