Assistant Chef (x2)
Purpose of the job
To assist with the cleaning, preparation, service of food stuffs in the cold kitchen and hot kitchen, equipment and additional (ancillary) items to agreed standards

Requirements
Roles & Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be expected to;
The incumbent will be expected to;
- Prepare the Front of House areas ready for service for functions
- Cook and serve the correct portions as agreed with the Executive Chef
- Work in a clean and hygienic way in accordance with the company Food Safety and Health & Hygiene policy
- Conform to statutory and Company personal hygiene requirements
- Assist with the filling up of fridges and stores with food and drink
- Assist with the clearing and packing of equipment at functions
- Assist as and when necessary with the clearing and cleaning of all Front of House areas and the Executive Offices
- Ensure that all the catering areas are cleaned where they have been designated to work, using the correct chemicals & wiping cloths
- Assist with the dispatch of food stocks, drink stocks and equipment from the factory and at functions
- Assist with the cleaning of company vehicles as and when directed by management
- Clean as directed the Restaurant area which includes walls, windows, floors, tables, chairs, buffet area
- Remove any rubbish from Front of House and Back of House areas as directed my management. Practice garbage separation
- Take part in any fire evacuation drills at prescribed intervals
- Report any suspicious behaviour to Management
Qualifications & Experience:
NCC Chef Course or equivalent and 2 years’ experience as a Chef or Kitchen Helper, experience in the cold kitchen in production of cold items such as sandwiches, salads and desserts will be an added advantage and/or experience in the hot kitchen in production of hot items such as stews, gravy, stocks and soups etc will be an added advantage.
