HORTICULTURE SUPERVISOR WANTED FOR LARGE SCALE AGRIBUSINESS

The successful candidate will have a Bsc. Honours Degree in Crop Science (Horticulture Stream) Plus 1 year experience in related Field / Higher National Diploma in Agriculture General with 2 or more years’ experience. Successful candidate will be expected to be extensively hands on in crop production. In addition, the candidate will have extensive expertise and experience in:

• Extensive experience in horticulture with emphasises on tomatoes, butternuts, onions, peppers and brassicas
• Extensive knowledge of irrigation including drip, centre pivot, and overhead
• Experience with water abstraction infrastructure like boreholes, pumps, pipelines etc.
• Knowledge of internal and external marketing of perishable crops
• Traceable experience in handling large labour force
• Knowledge in budgeting and control of expenses
• Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, Internet etc
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Team player
