Vacancy : Temporary Claims underwriter

The position
The position exists to review and assess claims accuracy before a cheque is released to the member or service provider using the correct benefit and tarrifs.

Key performance Areas
●Underwriting / adjudication of claims
●Maintains a high level of accuracy in underwriting and authorising claims
●Management of the daily flow and processing of claims by Data Input Clerks
●Communication with doctors to obtain additional information for claim assessment, processing and payment e.g medical reports
●Management of the performance of subordinates
●Strict adherence to policies and confidentiality
●Perfoms any other duties as may be directed from time to time

Qualifications and Experience
●A nursing Degree
●A minimum of 2 years experience in underwriting
