Description
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
This is a supervisory position charged with the management and direction of the Botswana Relay Station logistics program, warehouse operations and fleet accountability duties. The logistics program covers station technical, facilities; administrative office and United State Government leased housing. Fleet accountability duties cover a fleet of 16 vehicles. The incumbent reports directly to the Administrative Management Specialist and indirectly to first line supervisors who are unit property officers; He/She supervises one warehouseman/supply clerk responsible for receiving goods and services, property storage and accountability: compiling inventory reports; establishing and maintaining min/max stock levels; preparing requisitions for goods and services; providing cost and technical information for preparation of requisitions, purchase orders and/or vouchers; preparing shipping documents and packaging of items for shipment; obtaining disposal authorization and organizing excess property sales. Maintains master inventories on all expandable and non-expendable relay station property. Fully versed on USG rules regulations pertaining to accountability and control of USG property and Government owned vehicles

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent supervises and coordinates activities during shift of two to five Radio Technicians in operation, maintenance and repair of four high powered 100KW Continental HF, one 500KW medium wave and one 50KW medium wave radio broadcast transmitters with self-contained power generators and phased array antenna systems at the IBB Moepeng Hill facilities. During shift, incumbent is fully responsible for the safety, security and overall operation of the entire transmitting facility.
