Study Coordinator, Botswana’s 2016 Biological and Behavioral Survey Study (BBSS) among populations most-at-risk for HIV
Overview
The BBSS, supported by USAID through the PEPFAR program, represents the Government of Botswana’s increased efforts to gather biological and behavioral data among groups most at risk of HIV (MARPs) as part of a national surveillance effort. Undertaking a large scale survey of this kind in different districts with complex and varying sampling methodologies among vulnerable groups whom little is known about, requires a highly skilled study Manager able to adequately anticipate and plan for the complex operational issues involved in field implementation including obtaining valid data and maintaining ethical standards. This study is overseen by a Technical Working Group (TWG) under the leadership of MOH with FHI360 providing technical guidance.
