SALARY PER ANNUM: E1, P370, 692– P385, 680.00

LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
BENEFITS:
I) Optional contributory medical aid scheme (Government contributes 50% and employee contributes 50%)
II) A contract of 24 to 36 months with gratuity at the rate of 25%payable upon expiry of the contract.
III) Scarce skill (Attraction & Retention Allowance ranges from 30% to 40% of basic salary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Accounting, Economics and Finance. Professional qualifications such as ACCA/CA/BICA shall be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
At least sixteen (16) years of relevant work experience, out of which two (2) years must have been served at management level. Candidate must have acquired at least proficiency rating Level 3 of the Senior Assistant Auditor General Skills and Competencies.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage and coordinate all activities of the Division and provide strategic leadership and financial auditing policy directions.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Provides advice and assurance to the Auditor General, Parliament, Accounting Officers and Senior Officers in both the public and Parastatal Organizations.
• Provides guidance on audit service to government ministries.
• Provides technical advice to Public Accounts Committee.
• Provides leadership in the finalization of Audit Reports to Parliament.
• Leads the development and maintenance of audit performance management systems, professional resources management.
• Ensures effective implementation of and adherence to corporate policies, standards and procedures within budgetary, legislative and organizational constraints.
• Leads and directs the management and administration of the auditing division of the Office of the Auditor General.
• Directs the development of implementation and monitoring of the strategic plans to ensure achievement of efficient and relevant divisional outcomes.
• Prepares budget estimates for the Division.
• Provides guidance on audit service to government ministries.
• Provides technical advice to Public Accounts Committee.
