Atlas Copco Botswana is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Business Controller

Requirements

Mission

• To secure an accurate application of the principles and guidelines of 'The Way We Do Things' and that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with FAM and local statutory practice through accurate, relevant and timely business and financial analysis, reports and scorecards.
• To support general management in making effective business decisions.
• To ensure that internal control processes and Group processes are maintained.
• To participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.
• To prepare and support company planning processes
• To raise "red flags" to operational and/or holding management whenever compliance with sound business principles are at risk.
• To take care of the legal aspects of the business
• To secure the professional development of employees.

Experience requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance and/or business control
• Business analysis and risk management
• Experience in an International business environment
• Working with Information systems; a knowledge of BPCS would be an advantage

Educational requirements

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar academic background
• Fluency in English is a must
• Knowledge of Atlas Copco's Finance and Administration Manual is essential
• Familiar with Group accounting principles, IFRS and local statutory rules
