Relationship Officer (SME)
Responsible for developing and maintaining SME customer relationships and a quality SME loan portfolio through borrower due diligence, credit proposal preparation and a disciplined portfolio monitoring effort.
Requirements
Main focus areas
- Develop new business opportunities by proactively marketing for SME lending/deposit opportunities from current & prospective clients
- Generate Revenue streams through cross – selling of bank products & services to SME customers
- Work closely with the entire branch staff to maintain a high degree of customer service level and focus
- Perform as the key SME-Relationship Officer for all relationships between the SME customers and the bank; and work closely with SME customers to identify and meet their needs to the mutual benefit of both the customer and the bank
- Market for new business and source new client referrals from networking and calling programs targeted specifically SME customers
- Manage and develop the SME portfolio including revenue accountability
- Contribute to the loan decision-making process by providing an in-depth, high-quality credit analysis
- Contribute to sound portfolio management though regular monitoring
Required knowledge and experience
The ideal candidates should possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Marketing or related fields with a minimum of 3 years-experience in relationship management or similar role. The position requires a person with broad based knowledge of financial products and services, financial markets and economic environments, knowledge of respective operational and regulatory environment, ability to research and aggressively source new business through own initiatives and demonstrated ability to network and build own portfolio of contacts to maximize referral network.
