BOTS50 VACANCY 8/12: TEMPORARY PRINCIPAL PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER I (D2) VACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 8 OF 2015
Salary Scale: D2 (P231, 708.00 – P255, 828.00) per annum.
Leave: 30 working days per annum
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Public Relations or Journalism or Marketing.
Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years relevant post qualification experience, two (2) of which should have been served at D3 level or equivalent

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To facilitate implementation of Botswana Fifty Anniversary of Independence programmes and projects.
Key performance areas:
a) Initiates the develpoment of strategies relating to public relations and media services.
b) Interprets public relations and media policies to stakeholders.
c) Manages production of corporate publications.
d) Manages the development of BOT 50 website and ensures standards are set and met.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To facilitate implementation of Botswana Fifty Anniversary of Independence programmes and projects.
Key performance areas:
a) Guides and supports implementation of Botswana Fifty Anniversary of Independence Programmes and Projects countrywide.
b) Consolidates progress reports on all programmes and projects implemented and submit to the BOT 50 Coordinator.
c) Assists in the dissemination BOT 50 Information on programmes and projects to the public and other stakeholders.
d) Conducts field visits to monitor programmes and projects.
e) Liaises with stakeholders in the planning, coordination and implementation of BOT 50 programmes.
f) Makes recommendations for the review of BOT 50 programmes and projects in order to ehance the presentation of programmes.
g) Assists in the identification potential sponsors for BOT 50 programmes and makes recommendations to the Coordinator.
h) Monitors compliance to policies and procedures in the undertaking of programmes and projects.
i) Assists in consolidation of the BOT 50 budget estimates for submission to the Bot 50 Coordinator.
j) Manages all resources within the BOT 50 jurisdiction (fleet, movable and immovable property).
k) Undertakes other Bot 50 assignments to meet the extigencies of the Bot 50 Secretariat.
