ADVISORS – ACCOUNTING ADVISORY

Job description

Reporting to the Advisory Managers, successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Performing accounting and financial reporting-related tasks and projects
• Compiling and reviewing financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and preparing periodic management accounts
• Supervising, coaching and implementing performance management processes for junior staff
• Establishing and maintaining sound working relationships with client counterparts
• Monitoring of compliance to technical standards and internal policies and procedures
• Assisting with business development activities, including assisting with coordinating development and delivery of proposals.

Requirements

• Be a professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
• At least five years relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting environment, of which two should have been in a supervisory role
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
• Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Caseware and Pastel are essential
• Good understanding of requirements of IFRS, the Botswana Companies Act, Income Tax Act and VAT Act
