Morupule Coal Mine invites Applications from suitably qualified and experienced citizens to fill the following position:

OPERATIONAL READINESS MANAGER – Units 5 and 6 Project Coal Supply Project on a fixed term contract (FTC) basis.

Job Summary
To develop, co-ordinate and translate strategic the project operational readiness and organisational objectives into project business plans.

Requirements

Minimum requirements

A technical degree or equivalent ,
Ten (10) years’ experience in a mining operation, with at least 3 (three) years at a senior management level. Exposure to the various aspects of the Coal mining industry is essential. Business exposure would be an advantage.

Key Effectiveness Areas

Define project operational readiness requirements to support and align with the mine business drivers.
Ensure the project achieves a state of operational readiness in accordance with the project implementation plans.
Define effective organisational structuring in terms of the requirements, managerial and legal best fits to effectively influence technical and non-technical project designs based on future operational and maintenance requirements.
Represent the mine in the project processes and decisions.
Social responsibility metrics and the integration of a social labour plan into the operational strategic business plan.
