FOUNDING REGISTRAR - QUANTITY SURVEYORS’ REGISTRATION COUNCIL

The Quantity Surveyors’ Registration Council desires to employ a Founding Registrar on a 2 year renewable contract.

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Council, the purpose of the position will be to lay a foundation for quantity surveying regulations in Botswana.

Requirements

THE JOB
The position will be responsible for, among other things, the following:

• Carrying out duties as specified in Section 21 and Section 22 of the Quantity Surveyors’ Registration Act 2013.
• Implementing the strategic objectives and operational goals of the Council.
• Defining and implementing the framework of quantity surveyors’ regulation, including development of policies, standards and procedures.
• Driving the registration of quantity surveyors.
• Engaging local and international stakeholders.

THE PERSON
The right candidate will meet the following minimum requirements;

• Hold a Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Accounting, or Law, or equivalent qualification, with relevant professional accreditation.
• Possess at least 10 years post qualification experience in a professional, parastatal, or built environment leadership.
• Executive training in strategy, leadership, management, or finance will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with key stakeholders in construction professional regulation landscape.
