Job Purpose
The purpose of the job is as follows:
- Ensure that goods are stored and decanted in a correct and hygienic manner
- Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse
- Ensure that stock is chronologically packed to facilitate ease of packing and delivery
- Assist in the receipt of goods into the warehouse/Store from external suppliers reporting any deviations in quantity and quality
- Communicate delivery delays and any discrepancies due to quality of goods to stakeholders as promptly as before the delivery due date or on the date of delivery
- Assist in the picking, Dispatch and delivery of stationery to meet customer’s requirements in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Ensure turnaround times are met with regards to delivery to stakeholders
- Maintain stock levels in line with the budget and consumption rate as agreed with the Business and ensuring that stock replenishment is done efficiently
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The key responsibilities are as follows:
- Participate in the inventory of assets and stationery ensuring that the physical stock and that in the system is balancing through verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigating any discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Maintain accurate inventory reports signed off by the Team Leader
- Prepare and maintain a spreadsheet for asset inventory to monitor the movement of assets in and out of the warehouse/Store
- Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes on quarterly basis
- Conduct a disposal of obsolete stock and participate in the auction of retired assets in line with the bank procedures.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Preferred qualifications and experience required are as follows:
- Diploma in Procurement or any related qualifications
- 1-2 Years working experience
- Working in a computerised environment
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Technical Knowledge required is as follows:
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage
