Atlas Copco Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position: Service Technician

Requirements

Main Responsibilities or Functions

• To troubleshoot system problems and the repair of such work
• To perform duties on workshop floor of site and underground
• To participate and assure a high standard of work
• Rectify all electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Ensure legal compliance on all machines
• Quality work at all times
• After hours and standby duties
• Be part of the safety programme and good housekeeping
• To be part of the workshop team
• Time keeping as per company rules and regulations
• In case of any off site work company to provide transport
• Expected to assist in other areas/divisions in the company when needed
• Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of The Way We Do Things”.

Required Skills and Capabilities

• Technical background
• Trade qualified artisan
• Valid driver’s licence
• Good knowledge of Atlas Copco Products
• Interpersonal skills to work as part of the Workshop team
• Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code

Educational Qualification and Experience:
National Craft Certificate in Heavy Plant Mechanics/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with Five years’ Experience as a Drill Rig Technician
